This is the Signed unique original Gouache painting by Cecil Doughty.

"In those days, the unruly mob was no respector of persons as the Austrian Ambassador found when he was hauled bodily from his coach."

From a feature in Look and Learn issue 666 published 19th October 1974. The article concerned John Wilkes "The Likeable Rogue" not only the founder of the notorious Hell Fire club but also a Member of Parliament. The 45 is significant in that in issue 45 of his newspaper, The North Briton, Wilkes attacked a George III speech. It helped that 45 reminded "the mob" of the Jacobite Rebellion.
