These are the unique original Mixed Media art by Arthur Ranson.

During the latter half of 1983 Look-In featured a series called When They Were Young. This episode shows classic TV comedian and impersonator Lenny Henry learning his trade playing the fool at school.

It is from Week 44 of 1983 so would have been published late October, early November that year.

Note that Lenny's features have been created using paste on zip-a-tone or similar. Otherwise the art style used by Arthur Ranson resembles his work on Look-In's Just William strip.
